Based on best practices outlined in the IT Infrastructure Library (
ITIL ®) v3,
PS'Soft IT Asset & Service Management solutions delivers new service-driven IT capabilities that continue to improve the way organizations and their management teams design, view, query, report and actualize returns on their IT infrastructure investments.
" We have been integrating ITIL ® best practices into our IT Services program since 2005. We selected PS'Soft because the company was meeting our technical requirements, supported our ITIL ® program and delivered benefits quickly." ITIL® Project Leader at Cegedim
PS'Soft IT Asset & Service Management solutions offer IT departments an approach to mapping a company's infrastructure assets to business services. As a result, IT departments can quickly understand the financial impact of any event, such as a router or payroll system failure, on business operations.
With enhanced decision-support features, PS'Soft's offering lets IT executives conduct adhoc queries on assets and services and publish that data in custom-designed dashboards for C-level executives. Executives can now gain visibility into their company's IT operations to make faster and smarter financial decisions.
PS'Soft's offering delivers a practical business management approach to the delivery of IT services that evolves with a company's growing needs while leveraging the existing infrastructure. As a company at the forefront of asset and service management for the past 17 years, PS'Soft's solutions align IT with business service management to help customers reduce costs and risks across the enterprise. The new additions and enhancements to the Asset and Service Management suite, with their focus on
ITIL v3, underscore our commitment to delivering service oriented solutions that help companies meet their most pressing IT management and compliance challenges.
PS'Soft's Asset and Service Management suite includes the following features and enhancements:
- Business Service Management Approach - Business Service Designer delivers a business-services approach to IT. Using rules to define peer-to-peer and hierarchical views between configuration items and services, IT can define a view of the company's infrastructure that maps to business services, a practice supported in ITIL v3. These rules create relationships between services and items so that IT can assess the impact of an event on costs and business operations.
- Decision Support - IT Business Intelligence is a new PS'Soft component which enables companies to build Executive Dashboards. IT Business Intelligence allows a sophisticated user or a novice to define queries without understanding the underlying data model and convert these queries into various charts. The resulting charts are then published to the Executive Dashboard so that senior management can see a consolidated, global view of their assets or drill down further to make better-informed decisions affecting procurement policies, contract negotiation and service-level agreements.
- License Compliance – As a Microsoft® Gold Partner, (PS'Soft Attains Gold Partner Status in Microsoft Partner Program), the company also announced a Quick Start Integration feature with Microsoft Systems Management Server and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. Using a wizard, IT departments can create a full view of assets (including licenses purchased, installed and used). Now IT departments can be confident that requests for Microsoft or third-party software through PS'Soft's Software Request Management are in compliance. They can also create dashboards to reallocate and reharvest licenses for additional cost savings.
